Hi Skylar!

Welcome to my blog for Week 6 Content Generation. I'm going to use this post to briefly answer grading criteria that might not be clear in my posts and article. In terms of interacting with and giving back to my community, I think that's mostly through feedback and requests from readers. My Sky High blog post mentions that it was a request from a (fictional) reader, showing that I would review movies that my readers enjoy and would like a space to talk about. Another way I would give to my community is through the watch/read order articles (like the X-Men one linked on the sidebar). People could request large franchises of movies, shows, or comics they're feeling lost on where to start on, and I would write up an easy list on how to approach it.  Monetizing this blog or creating a product based on it would be a little difficult considering it hinges on other companies' IP. I think the best bet would be to expand to other platforms like Youtube and Tiktok, where I could...

Sky High: 8/10

No Spoiler Review: I loved this movie! It's delightfully campy and the acting is surprisingly good for a Disney Channel original movie. It had its plot holes, terrible CGI, and some illogical writing decisions, but that's part of the deal with movies of this caliber. The superpowers weren't anything special or unique, but they were classic and not really the point of the plot either. We've all seen characters with flight, super strength, plant-manipulation and shape shifting, but the campy teen high school drama puts them in a fun new situation. Spoilers Below! For everything I loved about this movie, one of my major gripes is regarding Will, the main character, and his story arc. From the initial scene, his conflict was that he had no superpowers, but his superhero parents (who didn't know he was an average human) had incredible world-saving expectations of him. As the plot progressed and he and his friends were labeled "sidekicks" because of their "...

Deadpool and Wolverine: 7/10

As a fan of the X-Men and Deadpool, and avid watcher of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I was definitely looking forward to seeing how they'd merge together another MCU multiverse event.  No Spoiler Review: If you're looking for a goofy Deadpool movie to laugh with, this is movie for you. If you liked the X-Men movies mostly because Hugh Jackman is hot (a fair opinion), then this movie is for you. If you like the X-Men characters themselves, especially the versions in the Fox X-Men movies, then maybe not so much. Overall the plot was okay, but I didn't think it was anything particularly special or groundbreaking for the MCU. Before watching, make sure you have a decent understanding of what happened in the Disney+ series  Loki , and the events of the first two Deadpool movies. Is it worth watching? I'd say yes.  Spoilers Below! I overall enjoyed it, and I loved the cameos from Johnny, Laura and Gambit. I laughed a lot, and the CGI wasn't too bad most of the time. The...
